Old Time Music and Magical Puppet Theater
Thursday, December 6

A youthful oldtime stringband and a vibrant puppet theater have teamed up to raise money for New Traditions Café on Thursday, December 6 at 6:00 p.m. Proceeds from ticket sales will purchase a new soundboard, an essential item for the concert and performance series regularly held at New Traditions Café. Tickets are on a sliding scale from $10 - $50. Reservations for tickets are at 360 705-2819. Dinner reservations in the café are available until 6:00 p.m. the evening of the show. For dinner reservations call New Tradition Café at 360 705-2819. The puppet show is entertaining for adults and children over seven years old.

The Sassafras Sisters, three talented Olympia high school students who sing sweet oldtime harmonies and play fiddle, guitar, and bass, will kick off the evening at 6:00 p.m. From 6:45 – 7:30, String and Shadow Puppet Theater will present ESPERUS: The Janitor. ESPERUS is an original story featuring handsculpted puppets - giant and small of every variety (except marionettes) -- with an original musical score by a local Olympian musician. The audience is invited to participate in the show using magical objects.
